Announcing our Retirement As you can tell from the title, we have to bring you the sad announcement that #EverydayHeroes is retiring as a scanlation group. Well, we may occasionally do a oneshot or something, but we no longer have the time or energy to work on ongoing series. We’re really sorry to all the fans of Usuzumi and Kanda who were waiting (for a long time!) for the next chapter. If any other group wants to take over either series, they are of course welcome to do so. And since they are both licensed, you can enjoy the official versions as well! Kanda is already out and Usuzumi’s third volume will be out soon. We won’t bore you with a long farewell post. It was a lot of fun doing scanlation for these ten years, and we’re proud of the work we did on all of the series. At one point, apparently we did such a good job that an early Viz translator actually plagiarized our work (mistakes and all) in an early volume of Golden Kamuy. Which is both pretty funny and slightly flattering…I think! In any case, we’re happy that we were able to finish Dungeon Meshi and Golden Kamuy, and do some good work on series like Hakumei & Mikochi, Usuzumi no Hate, and Kanda (including some absurd glossaries for that last one). Sorry that we couldn’t go out with a bang with some giant release, but I hope our work over the last decade speaks for itself. Thank you for reading and supporting us all this time, and I hope you found some new great manga along the way!

Usuzumi no Hate c25 and Kanda Update Happy New Year! Here’s a new Usu chapter for a new year! Also, I’m sure people have been wondering about Kanda Gokuracho since our last release was quite a while ago. Don’t worry, we haven’t dropped it! We’ve just been quite busy irl so we haven’t had as much time to dedicate to Kanda (which is very work-intensive) as we would like. But we are still definitely working on it, and the next chapter should hopefully be out soonish! Read the Chapter on mangadex Download the Chapter on MEGA

Tales of Craftsmen from Kanda Gokuracho - The Swordsmith Here’s the next chapter of Kanda Gokuracho! Making a sword is somewhat more complicated than making a bucket, and the result is the longest glossary we’ve ever done (so long we had to split it into two parts!) Tales of Craftsmen from Kanda Gokuracho - The Cooper Wow! A new series! How exciting! This one is about a wide variety of different craftsmen in the Edo era, making everything from buckets to swords. But what it’s really about is how we seem to have a sickness that can only be cured by doing the longest possible glossaries. Anyway, enjoy! And here is the video mentioned in the glossary about the Japanese cooper making things in the traditional way.
